Microsoft wished to communicate the advantages of how Visual Studio with Microsoft Developer Network enables developers to build next generation web applications. After reviewing previous efforts, understanding the target profile, their pain points, aspirations, and motivators, we developed a new positioning and messaging platform to encourage and help developers to feel more empowered.

We informed our target that new Visual Studio offered the best of both worlds — it could help them save money while unleashing their genius. We also suggested an upsell to Premium and Ultimate by featuring increasing speed to market, reduction of repair times, the ability to rapidly evolve feature sets and more. Another focus was that from design to deployment they could use an all-in-one solution.

New branding, digital advertising, e-newsletters, social media, email marketing and a new website significantly increased site traffic, lead conversions and sales.
