Agilent
Delivering Critical Insights into Cancer Diagnostics Through Global eLearning
Dako, a global leader in pathology solutions, was acquired by Agilent to strengthen its diagnostics and life sciences portfolio. Trusted by clinical laboratories worldwide, Dako provides advanced reagents, diagnostic antibodies, software, and instrumentation — supporting more accurate diagnoses and more effective treatment decisions across a range of cancer types. Known for its innovation in companion diagnostics (CDx), Dako plays a critical role in advancing personalized medicine.
Challenge
To ensure consistent, accurate pathology results across global laboratories, Agilent needed to deliver scalable training on the use of PD-L1 IHC 28-8 pharmDx — a companion diagnostic assay used to assess cancer immunotherapy eligibility. The challenge: create a digital learning platform to help pathologists and laboratory technicians achieve reproducible results and uphold global standards for precision diagnostics.
Solution
Sagon-Phior developed a comprehensive eLearning program and multichannel awareness campaign to train pathology professionals on the use of CDx assays, with a focus on PD-L1 IHC 28-8 pharmDx. We:
- Designed and produced a specialized digital training library for web and mobile platforms
- Integrated product information, assay protocols, services, events, and support tools into the experience
- Created a suite of supporting materials including brochures, educational kits, and digital advertising
- Launched a targeted marketing initiative to increase visibility and adoption among pathologists and histotechnologists globally
By aligning educational content with diagnostic precision, we empowered clinicians to deliver more confident, consistent, and informed results.
Results
The eLearning platform was widely adopted across more than 100 countries, significantly improving global training consistency and diagnostic accuracy for PD-L1 testing. The campaign enhanced brand credibility for Agilent/Dako in the competitive companion diagnostics space and expanded access to critical training in cancer diagnostics.
