Children’s Cabinet of Nevada
How Brand Strategy Launched a Statewide Mental Health Initiative and Attracted 300 Members
Nevada ranks near the bottom nationally for access to mental health care — especially for infants and young children in underserved communities. In response, The Children’s Cabinet of Nevada initiated the launch of a statewide membership-based association: the Nevada Association for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (NV-AIECMH). This new organization would serve as a vital hub for parents, caregivers, and professionals, offering education, advocacy, and collaboration to improve early mental health outcomes and lifelong success for Nevada’s youngest citizens.
Challenge
To launch a new brand with credibility and inclusivity, NV-AIECMH needed to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders — from licensed mental health professionals and pediatric specialists to teachers, indigenous leaders, and multicultural community members. The challenge was to create a brand that reflected both scientific rigor and emotional empathy, built trust among diverse communities, and inspired professional alignment under a shared statewide mission.
Solution
Sagon-Phior led the strategic and creative development of the NV-AIECMH brand from inception to launch. We began with extensive audience research, strategic planning, and cultural insight work to understand how to unify diverse voices under one emotionally compelling vision. Our team created a holistic brand foundation, including:
- A mission and vision statement rooted in empathy and equity
- Multicultural messaging framework tailored to parents, caregivers, and professionals
- Name, tagline, and full brand identity system
- Logo inspired by child development, community, and healing
- Branded website designed to inform, engage, and build trust
- Launch video conveying the heart and science behind the mission
- Supporting collateral: brochures, brand guide, digital tools, and press materials
All messaging and design elements were crafted to balance emotional storytelling with professional credibility — essential for an initiative addressing early childhood mental health at both grassroots and expert levels.
Results
Within six months of launch, over 300 professional members had joined NV-AIECMH, ranging from pediatricians and educators to therapists and early childhood advocates. The brand launch elevated awareness about the importance of early mental health and positioned the association as a trusted statewide leader uniting Nevada’s most diverse and underserved communities around one powerful goal: giving every child a stronger start.
